Sized Software Company
Problem:
While very successful as a $60M software company, this company had not
evolved into an Internet company. It needed to find a focus in the Internet
space, and then create the technology which was symbiotic with it’s other
products, and re-launch the company.
Solution:We
created a team consisting of the CEO, VP of Business Development, the CTO,
and Phase2 as the Internet technology advisor. After two months of market
research and technical design, a plan emerged for creating a service-intensive
Intranet platform for the company which leveraged their current product
and customer base.
As the
second phase of the project, Phase2 provided the technical leadership and
manpower for the creation of a Java/XML based platform for delivery of
content to intranet application servers. This work has gradually been expanded
to include the technical resources of the software company. Interfaces
to document repositories, SQL databases, and other data sources, including
XML-based business to business Internet applications is central to this
system. The system is in a beta development stage, and is being introduced
to our client's customers today. |
